the 2025 Reflection Guide

Aligning Intuition, Growth & Purpose

The Evolution of the Reflection Guide

2020-2025

This is the guide that started it all.

The first digital offering I ever created.
The ritual that grew my email list.
The practice people return to year after year when they want to make sense of what they’ve lived, without rushing into the future.

Much like my own transformative journey over the last 5 years, my reflection guide has evolved.

In 2020, it was just a list of questions I shared with a close friend, and she encouraged me to share it with the world.

The 2025 Reflection Guide has evolved into a resource of the tools I use to support myself and my clients in a trauma-informed, somatic, and nervous system safe way. This reflection process is not about fixing yourself, optimizing your life, or forcing clarity.

It is about witnessing your year with honesty, care, and ancestral grounding. so, whatever comes next is rooted and intentional, not reactive.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Let's embrace our growth, listen to our intuition, and create paths that resonate with our deepest values.

What Makes This Reflection Guide Different

Most reflection tools focus on:

  • productivity

  • goal setting

  • surface-level wins and losses

This guide is different.

It is built around:

  • storytelling instead of scorekeeping

  • body wisdom instead of pressure

  • ancestral remembrance instead of self-blame

  • integration instead of immediate intention-setting

You are invited to move through the year as a living narrative, one that includes descent, survival, creativity, love, truth, wisdom, and awakening.

The Framework Inside the Guide

The guide is structured around seven sections, each weaving together:

  • a chakra (body-based awareness)

  • an EstyUbuntu pillar (Afro-centred lived wisdom)

  • an Adinkra symbol (ancestral philosophy in visual form)

  • a reflection prompt set

  • and a gentle oracle spread for deeper insight

This creates a grounded, intuitive flow that supports reflection without overwhelm.

The Seven Pillars You’ll Move Through

1. Rooted Belonging
Root Chakra · Asase Ye Duru
Safety, grounding, and ancestral support

2. Sacred Flow
Sacral Chakra · Ananse Ntontan
Emotion, creativity, and inner child healing

3. Sovereign Power
Solar Plexus · Dwennimmen
Choice, self-trust, and aligned power

4. Liberated Love
Heart Chakra · Akoma
Connection, grief, boundaries, and compassion

5. Truthful Expression
Throat Chakra · Dono
Voice, story, and embodied truth

6. Inner Knowing
Third Eye · Sankofa
Reflection, intuition, and reclaimed wisdom

7. Collective Remembrance
Crown Chakra · Nsoromma
Integration, meaning, and spiritual continuity

Each section includes:

  • 5–7 thoughtful journaling questions

  • affirmations or quotes to anchor the work

  • a 3–5 card oracle spread aligned with the theme

Oracle as a Tool for Reflection

(Not Prediction)

Oracle cards in this guide are not used to tell the future.

They are used as mirrors to help you:

  • notice patterns

  • access intuition

  • deepen self-reflection

  • and integrate what has already been lived

Each spread is optional and accessible, whether you’re new to oracle or have worked with cards for years. Any deck can be used, and recommended decks are shared if you want inspiration.

  • Esty has a way of holding a space of calm for you while also taking you directly home to a more supportive approach with your goals and intentions.

I am a “retired” yoga teacher, life coach, “professional organizer”, author and creative. Even with all my experience and inner knowledge of how to help others, Esty has a way of holding a space of calm for you while also taking you directly home to a more supportive approach with your goals and intentions. I loved the way this workshop gave me space to see the many areas of my life that are flowing while gently highlighting areas I can tend to when I’m ready.

    ~ Justine

  • I genuinely look forward to sessions knowing I will come away so much more elevated than I entered.

As a coach you have guided my first deep dive experiences with mindset work in such a gently supportive manner. You have made the incredibly intense work that it takes to have meaningful introspection truly enjoyable. I genuinely look forward to sessions knowing I will come away so much more elevated than I entered.

    ~ Tonya M.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop!

Esther is a GREAT COACH! During her workshop she created an environment where everyone could feel safe, comfortable and open to be vulnerable and authentic. Her guided Journaling process really kept the group engaged while making it possible for us to focus on yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop as it created a space where I had permission to connect, engage and get to know Myself! The entire process was very therapeutic.

    ~Kimberly Patrick

  • I enjoyed the process, the pace, and the ease of completing this workshop.

Esty created such a warm, safe, and welcoming atmosphere, which can be difficult to do virtually. I enjoyed the process, the pace, and the ease of completing this workshop. The freedom to work at my own pace was such a gift, and took the pressure off of “keeping up” with the group. I feel like anyone looking to learn more about themselves or begin the journey of journaling and self reflecting should take this workshop!

    ~ Nijelle Dixon

  • I would recommend this for anyone!

Esther’s warmth and creative wisdom is transfused to every participant because regardless of what we do, she makes us believe we are writers! She frees us from the shackles of fear and inspires us to write and share openly. It's so much fun and uplifting. I would recommend it for anyone!

    ~ Chris Peck

  • I can’t say enough good things about these workshops!!

Esther’s workshops are so wonderful! She has a knack for inspiring you to dig deep, release your fear, and discover (or rediscover) your creativity. Esther’s gift for connecting people from around the globe facilitates relationship building with a community of creatives- a meaningful component of living a creative life. I can’t say enough good things about these workshops!!

    ~ Megan Dixon

  • it's so 'Zen' wonderful!

"I cannot recommend this safe space for authors, creators, and writers. Each session starts off with positive words of encouragement and affirmations that you set before you begin writing. I love carrying those intentions with me after our writing sessions throughout the day - it's so 'Zen' wonderful!"

    ~ Neece (K.McCoy)
