I started my Human Design journey back in 2019. And over the years, I've verbally (or via text) shared this exact information over and over again with friends, clients, and people who are just curious. I figured it was finally time to put it all in one place.
I've read the books, studied with the teachers, had the readings, done the readings, and lived in the experiment for over five years. What I know for sure: there is no wrong way to start.
As we move closer to 2027 and the shift from the Cross of Planning to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix (the energetic architecture of our collective reality is changing), more and more people are asking what Human Design actually is, and how to learn it properly.
This is my beginner's guide. It's designed for you if you've already had a reading, loved it, and now want to go deeper into the actual system.
There is no wrong way to cultivate your learning journey. Just start somewhere, give yourself grace, and pace yourself.

My Human Design Lineage of Learning
I am a certified Quantum Human Design Level 2 Specialist, currently training through Levels 3 and 4. I have been studying since 2019 under Karen Curry Parker's lineage. My work sits at the intersection of science and spirituality, helping people move from friction to flow and step fully into their truth.
I'm a 1/3 profile, which means I learn by going deep, experimenting, making mistakes, and documenting everything I find. This guide is that process made visible. I didn't learn Human Design from one person or one place. I went wide, then deep, and I took notes on everything.
I'm also neurodivergent, and I think that's part of why Human Design landed so hard for me. It gave me a framework for understanding how I'm wired, without pathologising any of it.
Books I Always Recommend
The first book I always recommend is Understanding Human Design by Dr. Karen Curry Parker, the clearest foundational text I've found, written in language that doesn't require a PhD to decode. Please support your local shops and libraries where you can, too.

Crystal's school is less about becoming a Human Design reader and more about using HD as one thread in a larger tapestry of intuitive development. She weaves in chakra work, somatic practices, moon phases, crystal gridding, and nervous system support.
Note: I recommend this for people who want to fold HD into a broader spiritual and intuitive practice. It's not the place I'd send you if your goal is to become a specialist HD reader.

This is the lineage I trained in. Dr. Karen Curry Parker developed Quantum Human Design as an evolution of traditional HD, reframing the language to be more empowering and integrating it with tools like EFT tapping, flower essences, sound frequencies, and journaling.
